FLARE (2022)
Selena is in the throes of a messy break-up with her charismatic, duplicitous ex-girlfriend (her ex-girlfriend is a container ship). Tending to her grief from a Greek island, Selena looks back at the relationship to ask - was the cause of her heartbreak seeded all along?
Flare is a performance given at the Austrian Cultural Forum, London UK, July 2022. It was commissioned by Krishna Balakrishnan and Rosa Vertov as a response to the exhibition THE BLUE, THE PINK, THE IMMATERIAL, THE VOID, which explored ideas of the technological sublime.
